Why the name Drowning Drink you might ask? Simply put; film should be fun.
Storytelling… talking, laughing, yelling in a social setting, energized and embellished with entertainment, is the foundation of Drowning Drink – telling a vast range of significant stories in a liberating, innovative way.
For Drowning Drink, film is a metaphor for life: telling real stories that will entertain, but also educate with insight.
In 2003, brothers Denny and Nelson Dias created Drowning Drink when their passion for filmmaking was put into action on a number of low budget, raw and somewhat gorilla inspired projects. Their projects and cutting-edge filmmaking style continued through the years and as the company matured, so did the work and the talent pool that they collaborated with. Always inspired to tell diverse stories, Drowning Drink has created films in a variety of genres: drama, comedy, documentary, mockumentary, experimental, musical, mystery and action/adventure.
Today, Drowning Drink is proud for its latest success – the action short film Red Revenge staring Dustin Price – that premiered and placed in the finals at the Whistler Filmmaker Showdown 2008. Also, Drowning Drink is soon premiering the explosive new Webisode Mini-Series Viper: Out-Numbered – so please stay tuned! Moving forward, Drowning Drink continues to add to its already popular film list – developing feature films and TV shows.
Drowning Drink Productions is located in Burnaby, B.C., Canada, fully equipped with a production office and an editing suite.
We hope you enjoy our entertainment and continue to support us with our future projects.
Viper: Out-Numbered – Webisode Mini-Series (COMING SOON)
An eight part series that finds classic cop Derek Viper in the middle of a bank heist – but he doesn’t even know it. Before it’s too late – with the lady teller hostage and the crooks on the run – it’s up to unaware Viper to do something about it. Stumbling on a hidden clue, Viper deciphers a subliminal message and stops at nothing to make wrong right.

Red Revenge
Red Revenge is an over-the-top 5-minute action film about an urban cowboy who’s out for blood when his car is killed. Produced in 72 hours with no budget, it placed in the top 8 at the Whistler Filmmaker Showdown 2008. A homage to exploitation action revenge films from the 70’s, it continues to receive rave reviews and is a definite fan favorite.
